Southeast Engine will be issuing a very limited, handmade run of "One Caught Fire" on our May 3 and June 7 shows at Casa Nueva in Athens, Ohio. The CD has been out-of-print since 2004 and only 1000 of the original were ever printed. Come one, come all!

Also, if you are in the Athens area and get the chance, stop by Donkey Coffee to see "Carry Through" - an art show by SEE drummer, Leo DeLuca. The vast majority of his work was used for Southeast Engine albums, fliers, t-shirts, etc. It's a nice little show. OK, take care and be well.

SXSW was a huge success for Southeast Engine. It was incredible. We'll be focusing on songs for the next record here very soon. Thanks for all your support!

Southeast Engine will be heading down to SXSW to play the Misra Showcase with Centro-matic, The Low Lows, and Hallelujah the Hills. The Misra Showcase will be on Wed, Mar 12 at Friends (208 E. 6th St. at Balazos) and we will go on at 12 am sharp, right before Centro-matic. We'll be making some stops (primarily in Arkansas) on the way down and would love to see faces old and new.

On Valentine's Day (tomorrow) we will head out on the Michigan Leg of our MichOhio Tour with our amazingly talented friends from Lansing, MI, Frontier Ruckus. The Ohio Leg will be the following weekend. All the details are off to the right on the tour schedule. Yes.

The Engine will be heading out on tour for 10 days this Thurs, Jan 17. We would love to see old and new faces. The dates for the tour are off to the right there... see 'em? Come one, come all!

"A Wheel Within A Wheel" made it on the front page of Jambase today, being hailed as one of the "Best Albums of 2007." Writer Dennis Cook has a column called "Cook's Corner" in which he plugged his favorite records of the year. Thanks Dennis! Happy New Year everyone!

Southeast Engine will appear on the Audio Eagle Records Ohio Comp. The label is run by Patrick Carney of The Black Keys and is an imprint of the legendary Fat Possum Records. The comp. will also feature The Black Keys, Clouds Forming Crowns (ex-Guided By Voices members), Six Parts Seven, The Heartless Bastards and more. It is slated for national release on January 22. Pitchfork Media recently wrote a little blurb on it all and included the track listing. Check it out.

Southeast Engine has been eagerly awaiting to let you all know our recent signing with Misra Records. As we were finishing the recording process for our latest album a couple months back we received a phone call from the label informing us that they would love to release our next album. So it is, our next full-length album A Wheel Within a Wheel will be released by Misra Records on October 16, 2007. A CMJ performance and a month-long tour will immediately follow. We are happier than a horse in a hay store to be part of the Misra roster. For those of you unfamiliar with the label, they have released albums by numerous great acts like Centro-matic, The Mendoza Line, South San Gabriel, Great Lake Swimmers, Shearwater, Destroyer, and Phosphorecent, etc. The label has also recently teamed up with the absolutely wonderful Absolutely Kosher Records, home to other great acts like The Wrens, The Hidden Cameras, The Mountain Goats, Frog Eyes, and The Court & Spark.
